Jesus Ministry of Intercession in the Heavens
The Golden Altar was for the burning of Incense unto the Lord. Incense always speaks to us of the prayers and intercession of the saints which ascend unto God. The burning of Incense also has great significance when seen in relation to the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest. Hebrews 7v25: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” Hebrews 9v24: “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:” 1 John 2v1: “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” Christ appears before the very throne of God for us, PLEADING
