Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:11-12

Should the woman keep silent in the church? Is she really not permitted to speak? Does the Bible promote a sexist worldview and was the apostle Paul a misogynist?

In this lesson we evaluate the Problem verse in 1 Timothy 2:11-12 and see what the bible really teaches us. A few things are to be kept in mind when interpreting the scriptures:

  • We need consistency of interpretation
  • We must observe and satisfy context
  • Everything taught must be filtered through the cross of Christ

In This sermon about women not being allowed to preach, you are mentioning that it is political. politicians are not apostles or preachers. especially an apostle called in Christ and by Christ in a vision and commanded to take the gospel to the gentiles. This is Pure and From God. He mentions what the reason is in verse 13&14
2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
